What would your career in medicine look like if you practiced by choice, not necessity?
Most physicians have never been asked. Some of us can't even imagine it.
Physician Longevity coaching keeps your answer in sight, as the goal you build toward.
I've been there.
I love being a physician, and I've had an amazing and rewarding career. I have a supportive husband and three wonderful kids. For years, I just assumed the exhaustion came with the job. Catching up on charts and inbox messages at night and on weekends meant less sleep, less rest, and less time with my family. I found myself snapping at the people I loved most, and thinking, "I love my profession and my patients, but I hate my job." I did not want this sleep-deprived, negative version of me to be the one my kids remember.
I was skeptical of coaching. It sounded soft, questionable, and likely a waste of money. But I tried it, because nothing else was working and my situation was unsustainable. With physician coaching, I started to see choices I didn't know I had, and to make changes toward a life and career I want right now. I've been designing both intentionally ever since. Now I help other physicians do the same.

What is Physician Longevity?
Physician longevity means building a career and a life you want to live, so that medicine becomes a profession we want to continue long after we could retire.
Our interests, responsibilities and environments change over the years. We train then begin practicing, we navigate changes in our families, in our organizations and in the world around us. Ideally, our careers should pivot and evolve along with these changes.
